| Max is beginning to lift himself up and stand by holding onto some support. How does it all happen so fast? He now has 4 teeth on top and 3 on the bottom. He loves yogurt melts, starting to throw tantrums, got over his first cold, trying to clap, crawling super fast and everywhere, putting his fingers in things, taking books off the shelf, shrieks when he sees daddy and not crying when meeting new people. So I need to start nursery school research but I'm procrastinating because the whole idea sounds so daunting.

| At almost 8 months Max has started crawling. About 2 weeks ago, he would get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. Then he started going backwards. I tried to show him how to move forward but he was like "mom, i'm not ready yet" Then all of a sudden the other day he put one hand in front of the other and moved forward. Now he is getting more confident and starting to crawl into places he has never gone before...uh oh. Baby proofing calls! As a reward for crawling I bought him some puffs that melt in your mouth- He loves it! He can spend half an hour just sitting there picking up one by one and eating them. Before you know it he'll be going to college...sigh! He also is learning to give kisses they are big sloppy ones but still so sweet!

| Today was a gorgeous day in New York, a little warmer than normal fall weather but sunny. I took Max every where today and he fell asleep at 7pm snoring away...hehe. Thank goodness my friend was very patient with us as I lugged the stroller through the crowded streets of Soho. We also met Sebastian for the first time, Steve and Winnie's baby. He is only 6 days old. I can't believe how tiny he is... I don't even remember Max being that small. Its crazy. Here's Max enjoying his new highchair. =) To think he has gone from that tiny little infant to a full grown baby eating peas in a highchair blows my mind. Max showed Steve and Winnie how he can take the pacifier into his hands, manuever it, and put into his mouth... they were pretty impressed. haha. By the way that goatee is a strip of peas on his chin..he looks so funny.

| Ofcourse I arrive on time to jury duty and end up waiting so here is a quick update on my funny bunny Max. He is 7months and just started showing signs of crawling. He can lift his whole frame up and do one handed push ups. Then he scooches himself back. He can also crawl in circles and sit up by himself for longer periods of time. He loves his solids and drinking water from the sippy cup. He likes corn broccoli butternut squash bananas peaches and pears but doesn't like carrots and apples. I gave him pureed chicken for the first time yesterday and he started gagging. I don't think he likes the texture. He can grab things and shake them (-actually he grabs for everything now) and he loves watching baby signing time. The other morning I went to check on him at 6am and he had grabbed his pacifier that was in the corner of his crib and had plugged himself in. I was so shocked that he is becoming self sufficient. My auntie is now watching Max. Yay. Family is good. Bought lion costume for halloween can't wait for baby Halloween party at end of month. Need highchair and to baby proof. My little baby is growing up soo fast!!!! | | |
| I've heard of super mommy strength but I never thought my lazy body could ever accomplish it but alas at our beach photo shoot, I ran across the beach and hiked a cliff carrying Max in my sandals about half a mile in the heat so that I could get him to the hotel at the top. Doesn't sound too bad? Running in sand and up an incline in sandals with a 17lb baby is something I never dreamed I could do. But look at this. All worth it!!!
Our Laguna vacation Day 1: Max does fantastic on the plane, he should earn wings but with this economy I am told they are not free but given for a small fee. Eat lunch with grandma and pa Lee at Sura and head to Fullerton for some watermelon to beat the heat with Auntie Eunice and Joseph. Day 2: We head to Aunties in Santa Monica for some yummy lunch (Max meets Uncle Paul for the first time) and wait anxiously for Daddy to arrive that evening Day 3: Mommy and Daddy take Max to the beach for the first time. Little do they know that strollers do not work in the sand. So they lift and carry the baby carrier and snap and go half a mile along the shore line, too much exercise for one morning. We grill up some steaks and make pasta for dinner. Life is good. Day 4: We check out other beaches in the area and have some dungness crab for lunch. Eemo and eemoboo arrive that night. Max says goodnite and passes out, its been a long day. Day 5: Everyone heads out to Santa Monica for some home made mandoos, miles of sand, and shopping on 3rd St promenade. Head back to Laguna full, exhausted, and content. Day 6: Beach time followed by lunch at Fashion Island, R&D and top off with some Teuscher. Get some KFC to go with some fob German beer and everyone is too tired to watch a movie. Max loves observing the carp in the koi pond. Day 7: Picture day, everyone arrives at 9ish and we all head out to Montage beach dressed in white. Its 90 outside and we walk to the beach, everyone is dripping. We quickly take pictures and head up the cliff to get some ac relief at the hotel. We squeeze in some more pics before heading to Las Brisas for some lunch. Max is a champ and naps while we feast on Mexican seafood. Everyone hangs out at the house and a small party launches off to the beach for some snorkeling and body surfing. Its crowded but the water is warm. We head back and the party breaks to go to dinner. Grandma Lee and Grandpa Lee are happy to have spent some QT with Max. Everyone heads home and mommy and daddy sneak off for some tequila sampling. perfect end to a perfect day. Day 8: Daddy leaves early. We sadly say goodbye. In the afternoon head to South Coast Plaza where we buy some fall clothes for Max. He now wears 12mths+. Yikes. Day 9: Check out and head to LA for some last minute kalbee and shopping. We say goodbye to Aunt Jenny and Criswell. We head to airport for a rocky trip home. We finally make it back, and we need to sleep...
